Side Hustle Series: Selling on Poshmark

In this edition of the side hustle series, I had a chance to speak with Brucee Denise who's a blogger and thrifter. She's also great at selling on PoshmarkHello everyone. Today’s post is the sixth installment of the side hustle series. In the series, I profile side hustlers and entrepreneurs. I ask them a few questions about their businesses or hustles. This series is meant to keep people motivated when it comes to making extra income.

In this edition of the series, I had a chance to speak with Brucee Denise who’s a blogger and thrifter. She’s also huge on Poshmark.

What is Poshmark?

According to their website, Poshmark is a simple and fun way to buy and sell fashion. It was created as a platform for women to sell their clothing and accessories or buy things. In 2016, they allowed men to join. Late last year, I joined Poshmark to see what it’s about. Let’s get to the interview.

Brucee Denise is a Fashion Blogger, Thrift Influencer and Reseller based in Atlanta (by way of Campbellton, Florida) who believes that fabulous style is not limited to those with a big budget! She is the fun and sassy chick behind the brand of OHHyeaHer. She enjoys letting her creativity and personality shine through her edgy yet unpredictable looks. She loves teaching women how to thrift, and she hopes that she leaves you feeling inspired and fierce.

Remember never buy anything full price… It’s a SIN!

How long have you been selling on Poshmark?

I’ve been selling a little over a year. December 8th was my one year anniversary on Posh, but I’ve been reselling a little under 10 years and thrift for almost 15 years.

What type of items do you sell?

I dibble and dabble in a little of everything that’s fashion related lol, but my focus is on quality pieces that enhance one’s style.

What are some of the pros & cons of selling on Poshmark?

Pros:

It is very user-friendly

Cons:

Time-consuming (if you don’t have the time to put into it) it might not be the platform for you due to the social interaction that is required, unlike other platforms.

Would you recommend Poshmark to others?

Of course, I’m Posh Ambassador, and because of Posh, my business is booming!

Do you sell on any other platforms?

Back in the day, I was a beast on other sites, but much has changed since. I also use Instagram as a selling platform and often times the looks I post sell by a buyer clicking the link in my bio to purchase the item(s) from my POSH closet.

Do you have any advice for people interested in Poshmark?

Shoot your shot because you will definitely score if you put forth the effort!

I hope you enjoyed this installment of the Side Hustle Series. I know I did. It gives me hope that I will finally sell something on Poshmark. I’ve had an account on there for two months, and it’s been kind of slow for me. I’m motivated now though.
