May was a GREAT month for me. As of right now it was the best month of 2015. I had the most amount of page views EVER for the site. After going 11 months without any affiliate sales I’ve had a couple in back to back months. I’m also very close to reaching an e-mail subscriber goal that I set for myself. If you aren’t signed up for my e-mail newsletter you can do it HERE. Below are two of my best articles from May.

Last month I also had the opportunity to volunteer for the Black Enterprise Entrepreneurs Conference. It was an excellent experience. I had the chance to hear some exciting people speak including Steve Harvey and NFL Hall of Famer Cris Carter. In addition I got to mix and mingle with a lot of people who are planning on taking their businesses to the next level. I’m thrilled I decided to volunteer.

I also visited my Dad’s side of the family for the 1st time ever in Cleveland, Ohio. I had a great time. I had the chance to get out of Atlanta for a few days. I briefly discussed my trip in the post 5 Things to Do in Cleveland.

Those two events allowed me expand my comfort zone. Both situations started out a little uncomfortable, but I am glad that I did them. Getting out of your comfort zone is one of the best ways to help you grow as a person. I plan on doing some more activities to help me expand my comfort zone in the very near future.

For June I plan to continue to kick my debts ass! As of this writing my next lowest debt is at $360. Depending on how my side hustles go, that debt could be gone before July is over.  I will try my best to make that happen.

Speaking of side hustles I will be adding some more content to my affiliate site very soon. I also have a few designs that I will be adding on Teespring. Instead of just posting them on my social media accounts and trying to blindly sell them, I plan on asking my subscribers which one they like best. Then from there I will create a few campaigns to sell them. This way I will waste less time by not trying to sell a product that no one is interested in.  Speaking of products I still have a few shirts on Nomad Tees. All of them are on sale.

How was your May? What do you have planned for June?

  3. Sounds like you had a great month and congrats on the affiliate sales and page views! June will probably be a busy month for me as usual. We need to settle in to the new place and I need to work on my newsletter for the blog along with adding a few pages. Oh and try to have a social life, haha. I really am looking forward to enjoying the summer season though.
