4 Last Minute Exam Tips For Students

4 Last Minute Exam Tips For StudentsWhat’s going on everyone? If you are in college, it’s almost time for you to take your final exams. Time is flying. It seems like the semester just started. I know a lot of y’all are looking forward to going home for your Summer break after you finish your finals. I used to look forward to working and traveling. I have a few tips to make sure you pass your final exams.

Make sure that you are still paying attention in class

I know it’s hard this time of year, but make sure that you are still paying attention. The semester is not over until you finish your exams. Your professors may actually give you tips for your finals. They may also give you a study guide so pay attention. I know it’s easy to daydream, but you only have a few weeks left. You can do it.

Study Group

Being in a study group during this time of the year has its benefits. Since the semester is almost over you guys will be able to motivate each other. You can help each other stay focused as well. I loved study groups when I was in college. I know for a fact that I passed two classes because of my study group. My peers were able to help me understand some things that I was having a hard time with. I’m forever grateful to those individuals.

Don’t party too hard

With the end of the semester comes the end of semester parties. Some schools do it bigger than other schools. I’m not saying don’t enjoy yourselves, but make sure that you take care of business and prepare for your final exams. Do not be that person who went to every party but flunked all of their exams. Have your fun, but make sure that you take care of your business. You don’t want to be in school for an extra semester due to your stupidity.

Get adequate rest

Some people can thrive off 4-5 hours of sleep at night. Others may need 8 hours. I was one of the ones that didn’t need much sleep. Make sure you get enough rest. By getting enough rest, you will be able to think clearly and remember more of what you studied. There will also be less likely the chance of you oversleeping the night before an exam. A lot of professors would not give you the chance to reschedule your final especially if you overslept. Make sure that you get your rest so that that doesn’t happen.

In review, the tips to help you get ready for your final exams are to make sure that you are paying attention in class, participate in a study group, don’t party too hard and make sure you get adequate rest. If you do those things you will be able to pass your final exams with no problems. If not, you may have a little trouble.

  3. I was never a good test taker. Partly due to my dyslexia and the other part bering nervous I would do poorly. Getting rest and preparing well was the only thing that worked for me. I still had issues but not quite as many. 🙂
