Students need money more than ever before. Loans seem to be the only option. I want to let you know that they are not. There are thousands of scholarships out there. Some of them are not that easy to find though. In today’s post, I want to share with you the ten best scholarship search websites.

Fast Web 

Fast Web is one of my favorite scholarship search websites. They have been around since 1995. There are over 1.5 million scholarships that you apply for on their site. Fast Web is free to join. They help students by finding targeted scholarships that are based on their skills, strength, and interests.


This website has been helping students get scholarships since 1999. You don’t have to register or sign up to get the scholarships. All you have to do is go to their website and start your search. They have their scholarships organized by demographics,  degree level, Fortune 500 companies and more.

Back To College

Back to College has a section on their website that has different scholarship websites for you to review. They have links to sites such as the United Negro College Fund and College Tool Kit.

Fin Aid 

Fin Aid was founded in 1994. Accessing the website is free. Fin Aid has a variety of scholarships that students can search for. Some of them are athletic, community service, cancer survivors, scholarships for average students and even unusual scholarships. Fin Aid is one website that everyone should check out.

College Xpress

The next scholarship search website on the list is College Xpress. This company was founded in 1995. They have over $7 billion in scholarship money. If you register on their website, you are entered in their $10,000 scholarship contest. was founded in 1998. On their website, they say that they are the best at finding scholarships for students. They have a vast scholarship directory that features over 3.7 million scholarships and grants.

Scholarship Hunter

This site has academic and athletic scholarships as well as free contests from time to time. They also have essay scholarships and state awards. Scholarship Hunter’s website is easy to navigate.

Career One Stop

Career One Stop is the flagship career, training, and job search website for the U.S. Department of Labor. Students can search for over 7500 scholarships, grants, and fellowships on this site.


Unigo is a great resource. They have a huge scholarship directory. Some of the types of scholarships they have are college-specific awards, company-sponsored awards,  merit-based awards, scholarships by states, minority awards and more.

Fast Aid

The final website on this list is Fast Aid. They are the worlds largest and oldest scholarship database. You don’t have to register on their website. All you have to do is log on and start your search.

Those were the ten best scholarship search websites. Remember applying for scholarships is a numbers games. The more scholarships that you apply for will increase your chances of receiving one. It’s not easy, but I know that you can win some scholarships. Have a plan and apply to a certain amount of scholarships each week.
