December 2016 Debt Update

december-2016debt-updateWhat’s up, everyone? I hope you had a wonderful Christmas. Mines was pretty good. I got a chance to visit and chill with my family. Today’s post is my last debt update of the year. Let’s get to it.

My total debt went from $67,197.55 to $66,495.50. It decreased by $702.50. That was the largest decrease that I’ve ever had in one month! I freaking love it. I have plans of carrying this momentum into the next year.

The Numbers

Loan 2 – Down from $5779 to $5769

Chase – Down from $1745 to $1720

Navient – Down from $24,244.25 to $24,150.20

Nelnet – Down from $34,859.32 to $34,856.30

There is one less debt this month. The Bank of America credit card is GONE! Hell yes!!!! I had that card for damn near ten years. It’s a thing of the past now. The debt snowball is really working. If you’re working on eliminating your debt, you should give it a try. I’d recommend you check out Dave Ramsey’s book The Total Money Makeover to help you get started. Now that the BOA card is gone, my focus has now switched to my Chase card.
