Summer 2016 is almost over. It seems like it just began a couple of weeks ago. I’m still trying to figure out where the time went. Thankfully, we still have a few weeks left to enjoy it. If you’re looking for one last summer adventure, you should check out one these top attractions.
One World Observatory – World Trade Center – NYC
The observatory is located in the One World Trade Center. That is the main building of the rebuilt WTC complex that is located in Lower Manhattan. The new observatory that opened last May offers breathtaking views. At 1,776 feet, this is the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere.
The Magnificent Mile – Chicago, Illinois
The Magnificent Mile is located in one of my favorite cities, which happens to be Chicago. The Mile is 13 blocks of shopping, dining, and entertainment located in downtown Chicago. Some of the stores located on The Magnificent Mile are Ralph Lauren, Tom Ford, and Jimmy Chu. Some famous Chicago landmarks are even located on the mile.
Gatlinburg Scenic Overlook – Gatlinburg, Tennessee
The Gatlinburg Scenic Overlook is a secluded car pull off area on the Gatlinburg Bypass. It offers scenic views of downtown Gatlinburg and the surrounding Smoky Mountains. Gatlinburg is less than a 4-hour drive from cities such as Charlotte, Atlanta, and Nashville. It’s a trip that I’m sure you’d enjoy.
The Pearl District – Portland, Oregon
The Pearl District is a trendy one-half square mile area of the city that offers a variety of boutiques, galleries, coffee shops and restaurants. Some of the restaurants that you can visit are Brix Tavern, Gallo Nero, and Sinju Sushi Bar & Grill. If you’re a beer drinker, there are several breweries to choose from.
Mount Bonnell – Austin, Texas
Mount Bonnell is a popular tourist destination. It offers great views of Austin, TX and the surrounding areas. It is one of the highest points in the city. Tourist and photographers from all over come to get great shots.
