First and foremost I want to thank everyone who entered my 2 year blog giveaway last month. I had way more entries than I expected. The winners of the giveaway can be seen below.

March was a great month for me. The site had the most page views that it’s ever had. Also, I’m almost at my subscriber’s goal that I set at the beginning of the year. If you haven’t subscribed you can do it HERE.

I had another great month with my eBay sales. I won’t get into too much detail about that in this post. All I can say is that it was a record breaking month.

I started an affiliate site, but I have to be honest, I haven’t taken much time to update it yet. This month I will make some changes to it and hopefully that will get more traffic to the site.

I am also very happy to say that one debt is almost paid off. That should happen within a couple weeks if everything continues to go as scheduled.

If you’ve been reading my blog for a while you may have heard me say that I am giving up a lot of things during this debt reduction. Traveling isn’t one of them. With the warmer weather starting, I have to get these side hustles in full gear. I have a couple trips planned for May and July. I will NOT be using credit for them. I will only be using cash to pay for the trips. The trips will not be too expensive either. My goal this month is to make between $600-$800 this month with my PT job and my side hustles. I am up for the task. I will let you know how I do in May.

How was your March? What do you have planned for April? How do you go about getting more traffic to your website?

  1. Sounds like you had a great month! I’m glad you’re still able to do some traveling soon and March was my best month of page views as well πŸ™‚ I’m been a little stagnant on all my blog goals lately and I’m trying to pick it up by doing some work on Pinterest and working on setting up my monthly newsletter.

    • The newsletter will definitely help with some views/traffic. I’m still trying to crack the Pinterest market. I only get a small amount of traffic from over there.

  2. Thanks for the update! Happy travels and can’t wait to hear about them:)

  3. Hey Jason, thats awesome that you’re almost done paying off your debt. It’s going to feel soooooo good once you make that final payment. It’ll make all the sacrifice worth it. We finished paying off our debts a little while back and it honestly feels like a huge weight has been lifted. Hope you get to feel it soon too πŸ™‚ Good luck!

  4. Hey Jason I really like your goal of $600-$800 a month in side income. I think you’ll reach – if not exceed – it. My traffic has been relatively flat for a while now and I suppose has slowly increased over time due to sheer numbers (more posts = more posts that get ranked = more traffic). I have been very focused on keeping my site going “as is” and it’s kept me busy. I’d really like to start two additional sites that I’ve thought about for a long time now, but I need to free up time somehow. It will be easier when the GMAT is over.

Here’s to a great April for both of us.

  5. Sounds like an awesome month! I know you can definitely make that much with your side hustles this month… and then enjoy a good trip! I’m also a big fan of travel and can’t imagine giving up travel for too long just to save money. πŸ˜‰

I haven’t been as focused on blogging lately but am hoping to pick back up and earn more money through the summer. Let’s do this!
