Happy New Year everyone! I brought the new year in on the Las Vegas strip. The weather was nice. I had a pretty good time. Now that it’s January it’s time to get the ball rolling for the year. I have compiled a brief list of 5 tips that will help you have a good year.

Plan Goals For The Year!

Make sure that you plan some goals for the new year. It doesn’t matter what it is. It can be anything as long as you set out and make an effort to accomplish it. If this is your first time planning goals set out to complete at least two or three things.

Exercise And Eat Healthy!

Exercising and eating healthy is vital in making sure you have a good year. When you exercise and eat healthy you feel and look better. When you feel better you can get more things accomplished. Eating healthy is something that I have to work on. It will be done though.

Stay Focused!

In today’s world there are so many distractions to keep you from being great. Being on social media too much and watching too much reality TV are just a couple of them. Make sure you take time weekly to focus on things you want to do. You will be able to thank yourself later.

Check Your Progress!

At the beginning of every month you should go over your goals and check out your progress. Hopefully you will see some great results.

Stay Positive!

This tip should have been the first one. Stay positive in all situations. You will feel better being positive instead of being negative. I know it’s not always easy to stay positive, but just try it. What do you have to lose?

Do you have any tips that people can use to have a good year? Please share if you do.

  1. You have to also set realistic goals. If you have a very large goal you want to accomplish you have to plan and make smaller goals in order to reach the larger one. I learned that the hard way.

  2. Nice tips. Simple and to the point. My biggest goal this year is to stay positive and not hang out with people who have negative energy. I network a lot in person and it’s amazing to me the long faces and lack of excitement in some people I meet. Not this year for me.

My goal – keep it simple. I am a social media coach/mentor/consultant and my goal is to streamline MY social media efforts in order to spend more time with and grow my client base.

  3. I’ve been using a FitBit for a few months now to track my activity. I love it and it helps keep me motivated.
